I have been working on figurative language for all of my
ESOL students. This is especially difficult because it is not concrete language. For February I have many idioms on heart shaped paper to teach this language. For example heart of stone, heart of gold, don't wear your heart on your sleeve, warm-hearted, cold-hearted, half-hearted etc. I have many other idioms that they are learning and enjoying.

I would like to do a book group with my third grade class. It would be fun to have them respond via a blog and get input from others. Has anyone else done this before? Please let me know your thoughts.

Thanks!
